The winners of the Poker Tournament: (L-R) Peter Kaskaridis, first place; Anthony Stasio, second place; Brian Baron, third place.

On behalf of the NYC Special Riggers Association Board, the Grace Gold Memorial Scholarship Fund and our sponsors, we thank you for attending the New York City Special Riggers Association 3rd Annual Charity Poker fundraiser on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Renaissance Event Hall in Astoria, NY. Thanks to your support we raised thousands of dollars for the charity, which will provide financial aid to countless students seeking a career in the building trades.

The room was packed and the tables were full, but in the end only one person can walk away as the Champion. Peter Kaskaridis took home the NYCSRA trophy, followed by Anthony Stasio and Brian Baron who won 2nd and 3rd place honors. Congratulations to our final table and our sincere thanks to all who participated. The NYCSRA is proud to support the Grace Gold Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Ms. Lori Gold, founder of the Grace Gold Memorial Scholarship Fund.

This charity was created to honor Grace Gold, a 17-year-old college student who was struck and killed by masonry that fell from a Columbia University building in 1979. Grace’s tragic death led to the passage of Local Law 10 (now LL11) in New York City and Façade Safety Laws in 12 other states. The Grace Gold Memorial Scholarship Fund provides financial aid to students seeking careers as architects, engineers, contractors, historic preservationists, and other professions.
