Ahoy there! The NYC Special Rigger’s Association is excited to announce that we are now booking the 2023 NYCSRA Saltwater Fishing Social!
We are scheduled to board the Super Current at 7:30 am (SHARP!!) from the docks of Island Current, 551 City Island Avenue, Bronx, NY for a seven (7) hour tour for bottom fishing. We will target what’s the most promising catch. The trip includes all required gear, bait, and mates for support. We encourage our members to join us and bring a guest for this fun day out on the water.
The 90’ Super Current is our host for the day. The boat will be chartered by NYCSRA and open to all members and non-members. NYCSRA will provide breakfast and lunch (bagels, coffee, hoagies and all the fixings with soft drinks and water available). We will have beer on board, but you are welcome to bring your own beer and wine; no hard alcohol is permitted on board.
Tickets will be limited so please purchase your tickets soon. Cost per person will be $140 and will include the cost of the charter, tip for the mates, lunch, beer, and soft drinks for the day.
You may bring your own fishing poles if you wish!
In case there is any reason weather related the captain feels it will not be safe to fish on our departure date, there will be a make up date scheduled later.

It’s VERY important to emphasize that the boat will shove off at 8:00 am sharp – the captain and crew have a job to do, there are cruises that follow ours and keeping on schedule is very important. Please plan to arrive at the dock to load at least 30 minutes prior to our departure time. We will return to port at 3:00 pm.
Please note that all boarding pass sales are NON-REFUNDABLE, but they are transferable. Due to the outlay to cover the costs involved in this adventure, we must secure all seats. You may notify us at any time prior to departure of a change of passenger information. If your ticket is not transferred, it will not be refunded. You may also donate the ticket towards another party on our waiting list.
