NYCSRA maintains a strong dialogue with the NYC Department of Buildings. The Executive Board of the NYCSRA recently held a Zoom call with NYC DOB Assistant Commissioner Patrick Wehle. We touched on several issues including re-opening all non-essential construction sites in NYC, rules around approval for essential work, specifics about hazardous conditions such as water leakages, approvals related to installing and removing sidewalk sheds, worker training requirements set forth by the Construction Safety Act, license renewals (all done online now) and more.
