Thank You For Attending Our Annual Summer Event

On behalf of the New York City Special Riggers Association, I want to thank all who attended our 4th annual summer rooftop networking event on Thursday, August 8th at a great venue - Dear Irving on Hudson in midtown. Our event attracted over 100 industry professionals, who weathered a thunderstorm (no pun intended) while enjoying this great networking opportunity. Your presence and engagement with our sponsors, Board of Directors and members made our event a complete success.

We encourage you as a member to share your experience at the rooftop and other events with other Special Riggers and industry professionals, and encourage them to join the New York City Special Riggers Association to become part of a much larger effort to promote common sense policies and regulations in our industry. As you know, Membership dues are only $500 for the year and provide you with access to the government affairs team, several annual technical and networking events, our Board of Directors, and a vast network of industry professionals.


The NYC Special Riggers Association is the voice, eyes, and ears in City government for our members. We monitor legislation and regulations that affect our industry and advocate on members’ behalf. Joining the NYCSRA enables members to focus on running their businesses, while our Board of Directors and government affairs team maintain contact and engage with city policymakers to ensure our industry’s concerns and ideas are received and heard. NYCSRA also meets regularly with the New York City Department of Buildings to discuss timely topics and issues related to license renewals, new products and overall industry concerns about day-to-day operations. Our most recent discussions covered the onerous license renewal process, inspections of suspended scaffold motors, safety line tiebacks, permits, and fall arrest for supported scaffold erectors.


Looking ahead to the rest of 2019 and beyond, NYCSRA will continue to advocate on behalf of our members and offer learning and networking opportunities.
